The following persons were present - <br /> <br />City Council Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Chuck Sisk <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Sheri Marsella <br />Dave Clabots <br />Hank Dalton <br />Ron Sackett <br />Frost Yarnell <br /> <br />City Council Absent: <br /> <br />Bob Muckle <br />Ron Sackett <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br /> <br />Malcolm Fleming, City Manager <br />Heather Balser, Deputy City Manager <br />Meredyth Muth, Public Relations Manager <br />Rhonda Welborn, Executive Assistant <br />Kevin Watson, Finance Director <br />Tom Phare, Public Works Director <br />David Szabados, Public Works Manager <br /> <br />City Manager Items <br />Discussion - Approach Improving Communication with Boards and Commissions <br /> <br />Mr. Fleming, City Manager, discussed the merits of requesting Work Plans from Boards <br />and Commissions. Work Plans would provide Boards and Commissions the opportunity <br />to present their goals and projects to the Council during City Council Study Sessions. <br />The Council would have the ability to provide more clear direction for the Boards and <br />Commissions. Studies have shown that employees and members were more productive <br />when given clear direction, used less staff time, and contributed more helpful and <br />productive recommendations. Mr. Fleming solicited the Council's reactions to the <br />approach.
