The following persons were present - <br /> <br />City Council Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Sheri Marsella <br />Dave Clabots <br />Hank Dalton <br />Ron Sackett <br />Frost Yarnell <br />Bob Muckle <br /> <br />City Council Absent: <br /> <br />Mayor Chuck Sisk <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br /> <br />Malcolm Fleming, City Manager <br />Rhonda Welborn, Executive Assistant <br />Paul Wood, Planning Director <br />Bill Kingston, Police Commander <br /> <br />Introduction of Fire District Board, Council, and Staff <br /> <br />Louisville Fire District Presentation <br /> <br />Louisville Fire District (LFD) Personnel <br />The LFD is currently conducting a recruitment drive. There is a high attrition rate <br />of fire fighters, as many volunteers transfer to other paid fire departments. The <br />staff is predominantly volunteers with some adjunct paid staff. In Louisville the <br />paid employees are paramedics. The LFD has a 96% efficient rating with <br />minimum staffing. The LFD has a combination of cross trained paramedics and <br />firefighters. Most volunteers remain with LFD for 2.5 -3.5 years. Volunteers in <br />the Louisville Fire District make up approximately 65% of the manning; the <br />remaining 35% are out of district volunteers.
