RESOLUTION NO. 12 <br />SERIES 2009 <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 2009 BUDGET BY INCREASING <br />APPROPRIATIONS IN THE GENERAL FUND, CONSERVATION TRUST - <br />LAND ACQUISITION FUND, CONSERVATION TRUST -LOTTERY FUND, <br />CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND, LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION FUND, AND <br />WATER UTILITY FUND FOR ROLLOVER APPROPRIATIONS AND <br />ADDITIONAL EXPENDITURES WITHIN SUCH FUNDS AND ADJUSTING <br />BUDGETED REVENUE IN THE GENERAL FUND AND HISTORIC <br />PRESERVATION FUND <br />WHEREAS, the need exists to amend the 2009 budget by increasing the <br />appropriations in the General Fund, Conservation Trust -Land Acquisition Fund, <br />Conservation Trust -Lottery Fund, Capital Projects Fund, Library Construction <br />Fund, and Water Utility Fund; and <br />WHEREAS, the need exists to amend the 2009 revenue budget by <br />increasing the revenue budget in the General Fund and Historic Preservation <br />Fund; and <br />WHEREAS, the need to amend the 2009 budget arises for three reasons: <br />1. To carry forward appropriations from 2008 to 2009 for projects that <br />were approved in 2008 but were not completed in 2008; and <br />2. To establish new appropriations in 2009 for proposed expenditures <br />that were not anticipated, or were not measureable, at the time the original <br />budget was adopted; and <br />3. To adjust the revenue budget for revenues that were not <br />anticipated, or were not measureable, at the time the original budget was <br />adopted. <br />WHEREAS, the revenue for the increase in appropriations will come from <br />the additional revenue anticipated in the General Fund and the unreserved and <br />undesignated reserves of the General Fund, Conservation Trust - Land <br />Acquisition Fund, Conservation Trust -Lottery Fund, Capital Projects Fund, <br />Library Construction Fund, and Water Utility Fund. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />SECTION 1. That the 2009 General Fund appropriation be increased by <br />$167,160, from $14,022,940 to $14,190,100. <br />
