<br />LOUISVILLE HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />MEETING MINUTES <br />Tuesday, January 27, 2009 8:00 a.m. <br />Regal Square Apartments <br />Louisville, CO 80027 <br /> <br />To foster the availability of quality, affordable housing and related services for the residents of <br />Louisville, using broad community resources. The Housing Authority of the City of Louisville <br />will accomplish its mission through: community collaboration, effective services and <br />programs, professional organization, efficient resource management, and the expansion of <br />funding sources. <br /> <br />Commissioners Present: Callan Childs; Scott McKenzie; Terri Abbott; Steve Underhill <br /> <br />Alternate Commissioner Present: Rob Kelly <br /> <br />Commissioners Absent: Doris Fasbender <br /> <br />Staff Present: Frank Alexander, Executive Director; Susan Grutzmacher, Administrative <br />Division Manager; Scott Sirnkus, Development Planner <br /> <br />Others Present: Selena Jaramillo; Steve Anderson, Remax Broker; Paul Wood; Walt Oelkers <br />and Claire Forlani, Lousiville Senior Foundation; Gavin,McMillan <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />Meeting called to order at 8:09 am by Terri Abbott. <br /> <br />Approval of the A2enda <br />January 27th agenda - Rob motioned to approve the agenda. Scott seconds. Approval of the <br />agenda passes unanimously. <br /> <br />Approval of the December 9. 2008 minutes. Scott motions to approve. Rob seconds. Minutes <br />passed and approved unanimously. <br /> <br />Matters from Members of the Public** <br />Steve Anderson from Remax attended the LHA meeting to present a 5 acre site on South <br />Boulder, known as the Cottonwood park property. The property is currently available and not <br />under contract. It is listed for $1.35 million. The site is zoned medium density. Selena <br />Jaramillo from the Louisville Senior Center stated the need for senior housing for low-income <br />seniors living on SSI. Paul Wood stated that any development greater than 300ft south of South <br />Boulder Road will require a secondary access point. Property owners would like the ditch to <br />remain and not be disturbed. Steve stated that the LHA could negotiate for access through the <br />HOA if it is purchased as a senior property development Traffic congestion could be an issue, <br />but seniors typically only have 1 vehicle per Selena. <br />
