RESOLUTION NO. 5 <br />SERIES 2022 <br />A RESOLUTION TO CHANGE WARD BOUNDARIES FOR THE CITY OF <br />LOUISVILLE, COLORADO TO CONFORM TO CONSTITUTIONAL <br />APPORTIONMENT REQUIREMENTS <br />WHEREAS, based on the 2020 federal decennial census and subsequent <br />change in the population of the City, it is necessary and appropriate for the City Council <br />to change ward boundaries to conform to constitutional apportionment requirements; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that the change in ward <br />boundaries contained in this resolution conforms to the constitutional apportionment <br />requirements, complies with the requirements of the City charter, and is in the best <br />interest of the citizens of the City, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />The boundaries of Ward 1 of the City of Louisville, Colorado are revised so that <br />Ward 1 is that area contained within the City Limits that lies north of the line <br />described as follows, also known as the south line of Ward 1: <br />Beginning at the intersection of the City Limits and the west line of Section 5, <br />Township 1 South, Range 69 West of the 6th Principal Meridian, thence east <br />approximately 86 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence east <br />approximately 68 feet to the intersection of Goodhue Ditch; thence southeast <br />along said Ditch to the intersection with the centerline of Centennial Drive; thence <br />south along said centerline to the intersection with the north right-of-way line of <br />Boulder Road; thence east along said centerline to the intersection with the west <br />right-of-way line of Via Appia; thence south along said centerline to the <br />intersection with the centerline of Sagebrush Way; thence southeast <br />approximately 92 feet to a point of intersection with the west line of Section 8, <br />Township 1 South, Range 69 West of the 6th Principal Meridian; thence south <br />along said section line approximately 701 feet to the northwest corner of Spruce <br />Lane Subdivision; thence east approximately 293 feet; thence southwest <br />approximately 46 feet to the intersection with the centerline of Spruce Lane; <br />thence south along said centerline to the intersection with the centerline of <br />Hoover Avenue; thence south along said centerline to the intersection with the <br />centerline of Pine Street; thence east along said centerline to the intersection <br />with the north right-of-way line of Empire Drive. <br />2. The boundaries of Ward 2 of the City of Louisville, Colorado are revised so that <br />Ward 2 is that area within the City that lies between the line described herein as <br />the south line of Ward 1 and the line described herein as the west line of Ward 3. <br />Resolution No. 5, Series 2022 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
