PROCLAMATION <br />BY THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br />WHEREAS, in an effort to subside the continual and on going trend of <br />residential burglaries and crimes against property, and, <br />WHEREAS, there are certain measures which the public at large can <br />exercise in an effort to protect themselves and their property, and, <br />WHEREAS, law enforcement agencies throughout the Denver metropoli- <br />tan area, in conjunction with the observance of National Crime Prevention <br />Week, and, <br />WHEREAS, Colorado Crime Check, promoting the theme of "Citizen <br />Involvement for a Safer Society", has designated the week of February <br />12 through 18, 1978, as Crime Prevention Week, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of the Mayor to urge the govern- <br />mental entities, the private sector, and the Citizens of the City of <br />Louisville to consider all actions which will help contribute to a reduction <br />in crime in the region, and one such consideration is Citizen awareness of <br />the problem. <br />UNDER THE POWERS BESTOWED UPON THIS OFFICE, I THEREFORE <br />NOW PROCLAIM the week of February 12 through 18, 1978, as Crime <br />Prevention Week, and urge participation of all citizens of the City of <br />Louisville. <br />City of Louisville <br />By <br />Mayor <br />Al'b t: <br />�tIC1t/irlil.
