PROCLAMATION <br />BY THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br />WHEREAS, The Colorado Front Range cities, and in particular those <br />which comprise the Metropolitan Denver area, are experiencing air pollu- <br />tion levels which threaten the health and welfare of its citizens; and <br />WHEREAS, governmental entities, the private sector and citizens, <br />should each be encouraged to do all things necessary to assist in <br />preventing such air pollution; and <br />WHEREAS, the Regional Transportation District, as a tangible <br />expression of its interest in transit incentives, has designated the <br />month of February, 1978, as "Transit Awareness Month", in which all <br />off-peak service will be free; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of the Mayor to urge the govern- <br />mental entities, the private sector, and the Citizens of the City of <br />Louisville to consider all actions which will help contribute to a <br />reduction in air pollution in the region, and one such consideration is <br />the increased use of transit. <br />UNDER THE POWERS BESTOWED UPON THIS OFFICE, I THEREFORE <br />NOW PROCLAIM the month of February, 1978, as Transit Awareness Month, <br />and urge participation of all citizens of the City of Louisville. <br />City of Louisville <br />By <br />04Z��� — , <br />Mayor <br />Attegt: <br />City Clerk <br />
