MAYORS PROCLAMATION <br />COLORADO BUILDING SAFETY WEEK <br />April 18-24, 1983 <br />WHEREAS, the states and local jurisdictions of this nation have <br />adopted legislation and do administer, when necessary, laws and <br />ordinances to protect the health, safety, welfare and property of <br />the citizens; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Louisville has adopted rules regulating the <br />construction of buildings in which people live, work and play; and <br />WHEREAS, other concerned jurisdictions also have realized the importance <br />of building safety, the proper application of the building code <br />requirements and the importance of developing uniform interpretation <br />and the exchange of information, and have formed the Colorado Chapter <br />of the International Conference of Building Officials to assist in the <br />administrative problems of the various communities in the State, and, <br />WHEREAS, building safety is foremost in the concerns of these building <br />officials, as well as the City administration and elected officials <br />of the City of Louisville, <br />BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that, the week of April 18-24, 1983 shall <br />be designated as Building Safety Week. <br />IT IS FURTHER URGED that all the citizens of this community will <br />become acquainted with the building department; the personnel; it's <br />various processes and it's services during this week. <br />Dated <br />��r�WAWNWI 2 <br />
