EARTH DAY <br /> WHEREAS, April 22, 2000 marks the 30th anniversary of Earth Day <br /> celebrations and <br /> WHEREAS, Louisville's Resource Conservation Advisory Board has planned <br /> an extensive celebration of Earth Day at Memory Square Park <br /> including music, conservation demonstrations and educational <br /> programs and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Louisville actively participates in conservation <br /> activities including recycling, composting, resource conservation, <br /> buying recycled products and participation in the Boulder County <br /> Recycling and Composting Authority and <br /> WHEREAS, the City has received a $20,000 grant through the authority to <br /> purchase and install a compactor for cardboard products at the <br /> Recycling Center and <br /> WHEREAS, last year's leaf collecting and composting was a great success and <br /> WHEREAS, Earth Day is celebrated annually but the goals are lived out daily. <br /> NOW THEREFORE,I, Tom Davidson, Mayor of the City of Louisville, do hereby proclaim <br /> April 22, 2000 as Earth Day in the city of Louisville and encourage all citizens to join in the <br /> celebration one week later at Memory Square Park. <br /> DATED this 18th day of April, 2000. <br /> 'f (/ Tom D.
