KRISTIN DONLEY PROCLAMATION <br />JANUARY 3, 2012 <br />WHEREAS, Monarch High School Science Teacher, Kristin Donley, has been <br />named 2012 Colorado Teacher of the Year, and <br />WHEREAS, Kristin has taught physical science, chemistry and biology at <br />Monarch High School for 10 years, and <br />WHEREAS, Kristin established and coordinated a district science research <br />seminar to create a peer science mentorship program for <br />elementary and middle school students, and <br />WHEREAS, Kristin believes that knowledge is gained through empirical means <br />(use of senses to investigate and acquire data) and that the <br />scientific method is one of the best approaches to problem solving, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Kristin inspires her students to have a passion for learning, and <br />WHEREAS, on October 28, 2011, in an all -school assembly, Kristin was <br />recognized by dignitaries from across the State of Colorado and in <br />a surprise announcement was given the honor of 2012 Colorado <br />Teacher of the Year. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that I, Mayor Robert Muckle, hereby proclaim <br />January 3, 2012 as KRISTIN DONLEY DAY in the City of Louisville and ask all <br />residents to congratulate Kristin on this important honor of being named 2012 <br />Colorado Teacher of the Year. <br />DATED this 3rd day of January 2012. <br />Robert P.
