Juniper Village <br />August 15, 2013 <br />WHEREAS, Juniper Village offers state of the art memory care programs <br />that provide a balance of structure, independence and nurturing <br />support for mind, body and spirit; designed for elders with all <br />types of dementia; and <br />WHEREAS, Juniper promotes educational programs and unique <br />partnerships with families that offer innovative techniques for <br />healthy aging of body, mind and spirit; and <br />WHEREAS, Juniper Village promotes innovative designs and practices that <br />demonstrate respect and care for the earth, promoting green <br />residences and programs providing for healthier living for <br />residents and associates; and <br />WHEREAS, Juniper Village serves 52 residents in Louisville and employs 75 <br />people in Louisville who undertake various activities such as <br />Alzheimer's Walk, Food Drive and partnering with schools, to <br />make the community a better place; and <br />WHEREAS, Juniper Village has received special recognition including: <br />Excellence in Care, Dementia Program of Distinction by the <br />Alzheimer's Foundation; and <br />WHEREAS, On August 15, 2013 Juniper Village is celebrating 25 years of <br />changing the face of aging and memory care. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Bob Muckle, Mayor of the City of <br />Louisville, do hereby proclaim August 15, 2013 as Juniper Village Day in <br />Louisville. <br />DATED this 6t" day of August, 2013. <br />Robert P.
