ORDINANCE NO. 1861 SERIES 2023 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.67.020 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE REDUCING MEMBERSHIP ON THE RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD WHEREAS, the City of Louisville (the "City"), is a Colorado home rule municipal corporation duly organized and existing under laws of the State of Colorado and the City of Louisville Home Rule Charter (the "City Charter"); and WHEREAS, Section 10-1(a) of the Charter provides the City Council may, by ordinance, establish, consolidate, or abolish any board or commission; and WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 1746, Series 2017, the City Council established a Recreation Advisory Board as an advisory board to the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council by this ordinance desires to reduce the membership of the Board as set forth herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: Section 1. Section 2.67.020 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows (words to be deleted seen; words to be added underlined): Sec. 2.67.020 Members The Board shall consist of nee -(IS) seven 7 members, each of whom shall be appointed by the City Council. The qualifications, terms, and other matters respecting membership of the Board shall be as set by City Council resolution. Section 2. If any portion of this ordinance is held to be invalid for any reason, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council hereby declares that it would have passed this ordinance and each part hereof irrespective of the fact that any one part be declared invalid. Section 3. All other ordinances or portions thereof inconsistent or conflicting with this ordinance or any portion hereof are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency or conflict.
