<br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />Louisville City Council <br /> <br />!"larch 20, 1973 <br /> <br />:eting was called to order by Mayor !,lilWrfmCe Caranci at 7:30 p.m. with Councilmen Deborski, <br />King, Jensen, Donovan, Scholl, Domenicl), City Administrator Wurl, Attorney Morris, <br />Treasurer Hesson, and City Clerk McNulty. <br /> <br />URBAN RENEHAL <br /> <br />POLICE OFFICERS <br /> <br />PEST CONTROL <br /> <br />AQUARIUS <br /> <br />''PPOINTMENT <br />J LURA BOARD <br /> <br />SEHER RODDER <br /> <br />OLD BAPTIST <br />CHURCH PROPERTY <br /> <br />MYERS HOUSE <br /> <br />QUOTE TO RE- <br />lHRE CITY HALL <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 11 406 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE #408 <br /> <br />Council agreed to al16w Louisville Urban Renewal Authority to proceed with <br />the purchase of Steinbaugh Lumber Yard property to be used as a parking <br />lot. The City will e'l1entually purchase the land. Council also agreed <br />to allocate $5,237.00 to complete the park development. This payment <br />to be reimbursed by the Louisville Urban Renewal Authority. <br /> <br />Council ratified appointments of Patrolmen Wayne Wallace, Rod Leesman, <br />and Richard Hatts to the Police Department. Councilman King moved that <br />Patrolmen Wayne Hallace, Rod Leesman and Richard Watts be appointed to <br />the Police Department. Seconded by Councilman Jensen. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Jensen moved that we continued with the pest control district. <br />Seconded by Councilma,n King. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Council formalized an agreement concerning Aquarius Development. The <br />agreement read in part -. should the land be annexed to the City of <br />Lafayette three (3) l:lCreS will be deeded to the City of Louisville for <br />the Cemetery and $10,,000 ,.;rill be escrowed by the developers for a fence <br />around the land. <br /> <br />Mayor Caranci appointed Councilwoman Pat Scholl to the LURA Board to re- <br />place Virgil Donovan who resigned this month. <br /> <br />Bids were read from O'Brien in the amount of $3,850 and Southwest Flexi- <br />ble in the amount of $4,255. The bids were tabled at this time because <br />they were on two differllmt machines. Mr. Wurl was to call for more bids. <br /> <br />Owners were in violation of the building code. They had no real intent <br />to remodel. Will wait for letter of intent before any additional work is <br />permitted. <br /> <br />Bob Myers has moved the house to 1004 Griffith St. and it is on the <br />foundation. The building permit has been corrected accordingly. <br /> <br />Councilman Jensen moved that the <br />rewire City Hall be accepted. <br />favor. Motion carried. <br />Deborski <br />Ordinance #406 entitled Businesses and Trades. Councilman/moved that <br />Ordinance 11406 be ac:cepted with the ommission of Chapter 27.18 (Credit <br />for license fees pai.d under other state or local law.) Seconded by <br />Councilman King. RClll call vote - all in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Louisville Electric quote - $1,280. <br />Louisville Electric bid of $1,280 to <br />Seconded by Councilman King. All in <br /> <br />Councilman Deborski moved that Ordinance #408 be accepted. Seconded <br />by Councilman King. Roll call vote - all in favor. Motion carried. <br />
