<br /> <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br /> <br />March 12, 2002 <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Louisville met in a study session at 7:00 p.m. in the meeting room of <br />the Louisville Public Library, 950 Spruce Street, Louisville, Colorado. The following persons were <br />present - <br /> <br />City Council: Mayor Tom Davidson, Mayor Pro-tem Chuck Sisk, <br />Tom Mayer, John Keany, Michele Van Pelt, Don <br />Brown, and Arnold Levihn <br /> <br />Staff Present: Bill Simmons, City Manager <br />Heather Balser, Assistant to the City Manager <br />Keith Williams, Interim Parks & Recreation Director <br />Dianne Ray, Finance Director <br />Belinda Goebel, Administrative Assistant <br /> <br />Open Space Advisory Board Members <br />Present: Matt Jones, Bill Van Orman, Bob Muckle, <br />Susan Remington, and Heidi Ochis <br /> <br />Open Space Classifications <br />Keith Williams provided a brief presentation regarding the steps taken by the Open Space Advisory <br />Board (OSAB) to obtain public input regarding the Open Space classification recommendations <br />contained in the ESCO report. <br /> <br />Matt Jones explained that he has reviewed the timeline contained in the ordinance establishing the <br />Citizens Open Space Advisory Board. The open space inventory has been completed. There was a <br />brief discussion to review the remaining tasks. <br /> <br />Mayor Davidson commended the consultant for doing an excellent job. He questioned why some of <br />the classifications did not match ordinance definitions. <br /> <br />The OSAB members agreed. They explained that the consultant looked at the potential of each <br />parcel of land versus how it was currently being used. <br /> <br />Council questioned why the Warembourg private land was classified and whether or not <br />implementing the recommendations would result in closure of some sections of the Coal Creek Trail. <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> <br />
