<br /> <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br /> <br />April 13, 2004 <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Louisville met in a study session at 6:00 p.m. in the meeting room of <br />the Louisville Public Library, 950 Spruce Street, Louisville, Colorado. The following persons were <br />present - <br /> <br />City Council: Mayor Chuck Sisk, Mayor Pro-Tem Jay Keany, Arnie <br />Levihn, Sheri Marsella, Don Brown (arrived at 8:30 <br />p.m.), Dave Clabots and Michele Van Pelt (arrived at <br />6:45 p.m.) <br /> <br />Staff Present: Bill Simmons, City Manager <br />Julie Boyd, Deputy City Mgr (arrived at 8:40 p.m.) <br />Heather Balser, Asst City Mgr for Govt Relations <br />Anne Mojo, Library Director <br />Bruce Goodman, Chief of Police <br />Belinda Goebel, Administrative Assistant <br /> <br /> <br />Interviews: Board & Commission Vacancies <br />City Council interviewed six applicants for vacancies on the Louisville Arts & Humanities Council <br />and the Louisville Housing Authority. The interviews were scheduled from 6-7 p.m. <br /> <br />Discussion/Direction – Louisville Public Library Board of Trustees <br />Anne Mojo introduced the following Library Board of Trustee members: President Jerry Maddock, <br />Vice President Mary Seifert, Secretary/Treasurer Alicia Mahoney, Bridget Bacon and Lisa Kahn. <br /> <br />Jerry Maddock lead a discussion on addressing non-resident library usage. The suggestion was made <br />to consider a regional library district. <br /> <br />th <br />Anne Mojo explained that the Library would be celebrating its 80 birthday this year, and staff is <br />planning a community celebration this fall. Anne Mojo stated that the library would like to place a <br />public announcement of the event in the City utility bills. Council agreed that would be a great idea. <br /> <br />Bill Simmons provided an update on the new Louisville Public Library. Last week the City Council <br />approved a contract with Wember, Inc., for project management. The contract for architectural <br />services with Humphries Poli is scheduled for consideration at the April 20, 2004 City Council <br />meeting. Notices requesting proposals for soil testing and surveying will be running this weekend in <br />the Daily Camera. Humphries Poli Architects predicts the design phase will take approximately <br /> <br />
