II City Council
Finance Committee
City of Louisville Meeting Minutes
August14,2006
City Hall, City Manager's Office
749 Main Street
6:30 PM
Call to Order - Mayor Charles Sisk called the meeting to order at 5:00pm.
Roll Call was taken and the following members were present:
City Council: Mayor Charles Sisk and Council Members Ron
Sackett and Sheri Marsella
Absent:
Staff Present: Bill Simmons, City Manager
Julie Boyd, Deputy City Manager
Patty Leslie, Finance Director
Chris Browning, System Administrator
Speaking Guests: Patrick McCamley, Civitium
Chris Puccio, Director of IT - City of Boulder
PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA
None.
OPEN ISSUES
Chris Puccio and Patrick McCamely attended the Finance Committee meeting to
discuss the concept of a regional wireless network. The City of Boulder has
hired Patrick McCamely of Civitium to prepare a feasibility study on a district wide
wireless network solution. The reason the private sector is not driving this
initiative today is because each community has different issues regarding right
aways and infrastructure. The idea of a consortium of cities to participate in a
regional development would be more appealing to the private sector vendor.
