<br />I: City Council <br />City of Louisville Special Meeting Minutes <br /> Tuesday, September 12, 2006 <br /> Louisville Public Library <br /> Meeting Room <br /> 7:00 p.m. <br />Call to Order - Mayor Charles Sisk called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />The following members were present: <br /> City Council: Mayor Charles Sisk, Mayor Pro Tem Don Brown <br /> (arrived at 7:15 p.m.) Council members: Dave <br /> Clabotsl, Sheri Marsella, Frost Yarnell, Ron <br /> Sackett, and Bob Muckle <br /> Staff Present: Bill Simmons, City Manager <br /> Julie Boyd, Deputy City Manager <br /> Patty Leslie, Finance Director <br /> Tom Phare, Public Works Director <br /> Keith Williams, Recreation & Senior Servo Director <br /> Heather Balser, Assit. City Manager for Gov. Rei. <br /> Scott Robson, Land Management Director <br /> Bruce Goodman, Police Chief <br /> Nancy Varra, City Clerk <br />DISCUSSION - 2007 BUDGET OVERVIEW <br />City Manager Simmons and Finance Director Leslie reviewed the highlights of <br />the 2006 forecasts and 2007 budget: In the preliminary review of the General <br />Fund, the primary focus has been to identify the revenue forecast for 2006 and <br />the revenue budget for 2007. The focus will now be on reducing expenses. <br />Some of the general fund highlights were as follows: <br />. For 2006, the General Fund is forecasted to have a revenue shortage of <br /> approximately ($460,000), primarily due to a (7%) decline in sales tax and <br /> a (23%) decline in use tax from automobile sales. <br />.
