The results of that election bring a new face as Mayor, a returning face
to represent Ward I (after a six -year absence), and new face to represent Ward II.
Bob Muckle was elected to a four -year term as Mayor. Pre-
viously on City Council since 2005 and on the Open Space
Advisory board prior to that, Bob brings a wealth of knowledge
to the City. It is an honor to represent the citizens of Louisville.
There are many reasons that Louisville is such a great place to live
but citizen involvement in the affairs of the city is probably most
important. That is why I always want to hear your ideas and con-
cerns. Please send me an e -mail or call with whatever you would
like to discuss."
Jay Keany was elected to serve a four -year term represent-
ing Ward I. Jay was previously on the City Council from 1994
to 2005 "I encourage the citizens of Louisville to contact me by
email or phone. I welcome your comments and concerns."
Susan Loo was elected to serve a four -year term representing
Ward II after previously serving on the Planning Commission for
eight years. "Louisville is the best place in the world to express
your opinion and have real impact. Our community is filled with
people who are friendly, open - minded, bright, and helpful. I wel-
come your input and am honored to serve as your Ward 2
representative. Please contact me in person, by phone, or by e-
mail with your ideas, comments, or concerns."
We thank Dave Clabots (2004- 2011), Sheri Marsella (2003-
2011), and Mayor Chuck Sisk (1992 -2011) for all of their years
of service to the City of Louisville. Their combined knowledge,
energy, and passion for Louisville will be hard to replace.
When Mr. Muckle became Mayor he vacated his Ward I
Council seat with two years remaining in his term. The City is
currently taking applications from Ward 1 residents who are interested in filling the
seat. Additional information, including the application, is available on the City's web
site.
The City Council plans to interview applicants in December and appoint a new
member in January. The appointment will expire after the general election in Novem-
ber of 2012. In that election Ward I residents will elect a representative to a one -year
term to fulfill the remainder of Mayor Muckle's term.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Be a registered voter;
• Have lived in Ward I for a minimum of 12 consecutive months.
If you are interested, and would like to know in which Ward you live, please call
303.335.4536.
Mayor Bob Muckfe
Jay Keany
Susan Loo
City of Louisville - www.LouisvilleCO.gov
