CITY OF LOUISVILLE Resolution No. 11 Series, 1976 A resolution concerning the general application of H.B. 1041 (1974) regarding "Flood Hazard Areas" as an area of state interest as it applies to the City of Louisville land use and development controls and the designation of the Colorado Technological Center as a flood hazard area of state interest. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Louisville, by resolution, identified certain flood plain areas as being potential flood hazard areas of state interest and such identification included a portion of the Colorado Technological Center site, and WHEREAS, the City of Louisville desires at this time to establish the general application of flood hazard area of state interest to its land use and development controls and to the Colorado Technological Center, and WHEREAS, subsequent to the effective date of the annexation of the Colorado Technological Center the City Council ordered a public hearing to be held to consider said designation and notice bf said public hearing was published and sent to the Land Use Commission as required in § 106-7-404 H.B. 1041 (1974), and WHEREAS, said public hearing was held on May 4, 1976 and which hearing was continued to and closed on June 1, 1976, and WHEREAS, the City of Louisville presently regulates development of flood hazard areas through Ordinance No. 456 and No. 465 and designation of said areas would result in unnecessary and counter-productive duplication of coq~rols, and WHEREAS, ~ 2-1-104 of the Colorado Land Use Commission "Guidelines for Identification and Designation," adopted September 19, 1975 provide for achieving the intent of H.B. 1041 (1974) through land use control procedures authorized by statute other than H.B. 1041 (1974), and
