CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br />RESOLUTION # 22 <br />SERIES 1974 <br />A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE REPORT "PROJECT FORMULATION <br />STUDY - COAL CREEK BASIN." <br />The City of Louisville in full consultation and <br />consideration with the other municipalities within the area of the Coal Creek <br />Basin, believes that public convenience, health and necessity require the develop- <br />ent of a water supply for municipal and industrial purposes to meet the pro- <br />jected water requirements of the municipalities within the basin, and <br />WHEREAS, this area represents a large disseminated area of metro- <br />politan proportions, problems, and potential with common water supply problems, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, this supply requires area-wide coordination to provide <br />total service, practical operation and funding capabilities, and <br />WHEREAS, the Coal Creek Water and Sanitation Association was formed <br />to investigate the feasibility of all the Coal Creek municipalities entering <br />into a joint water development program, and <br />WHEREAS, several engineeering studies have been completed investiga- <br />ting the availability of water supply for such a joint water development program, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the latest engineering report is a "Project Formulation Study- <br />Coal Creek Basin" completed in September, 1974, by Rocky Mountain Consultants, <br />Incorporated for the Coal Creek Municipalities and the Colorado Water Conserva- <br />tion Board. <br />NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved, by the City Council , <br />that the report "Project Formulation Study - Coal Creek Basin" has been accepted <br />by the City of Louisville <br />AND FURTHER, the City hereby accepts the recommendations of the con- <br />sultants, stated therein, subject to the acquisition of an adequate financing <br />
