One
muckler @ci.louisville.co.us example is the Louisville Senior Foundation, which is raising money for our senior citizens
Ward II to offset these escalating utility costs.
Sheri Marsella May I also take this opportunity to express my congratulations to Bob Muckle,Frost
303.665.3276 Yarnell, and Ron Sackett as newly elected City Council members. Each brings new perspec-
tives to our council and all are very talented and committed individuals. Please join me in
marsels @ci.louisville.co.us welcoming them to our city government.I know their enthusiasm and perspective will be
Frost Yarnell welcomed.
303.229.4215 I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the council members that
yarnelf @ci.louisville.co.us have served the City of Louisville who will not be returning. The three members are Arnie
Levihn,Jay Keany, and Michele VanPelt. Each has made significant and lasting contribu-
Ward III tions to our City for which we are appreciative. Each member has spent countless hours (no
Don Brown overtime!!) to insure Louisville's continued success. These commitments have taken them
303.673.0648 away from their families and their public service has left an indelible mark, for which we
brownd @ci.louisvillle.co.us cannot adequately say"thank you."
We enter 2006 with anticipation and trepidation, but your elected officials, along with
Ron Sackett our extremely capable City of Louisville employees, eagerly embrace these challenges with
720.890.8970 "great vigor."
sacketr @ci.louisville.co.us Happy Holidays to each of you and on a personal level,Terre and I,eagerly await these
holidays as they allow us to welcome our youngest daughter,Jennie, home from her first
City Manager Bill Simmons semester in college.Joyful times indeed for Mom and Dad!
303.335.4532
simmonw @ci.louisville.co.us LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
ork on the construction of the new Louisville Public Library project is now
City Council Meetings halfway done! With the completion of the underground parking structure at
are held the first and third the beginning of November, work began on the library building itself. The library project
Tuesdays of each month started at the beginning of April and is scheduled to be finished the beginning of June 2006
and open to the public during that summer. The steel structure for the building is currently
at 7:00 PM,
City H@ 749 Main Street being erected and the brick masonry work will commence in December.A web cam has
been installed so you can watch the construction progress from the comfort of your home.
You can access the web cam on the library's home page at wwwci.louisville.co.us/library.
For fu they information The library construction team is incorporating energy efficiency elements into the build-
ing construction, including a white reflective roof to save on air-conditioning costs,win-
about City activities dow tinting, and an in-floor heating system.New technology will also be incorporated into
and projects, please visit the building with wireless computer access, additional public computers, and more patron
www ci.louisville.co.us.
self-check stations. If you have questions about the library project, please call Julie Boyd at
303.335.4531.
