RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, the Cities of Louisville, Lafayette, Superior and Erie <br />are desirous of jointly developing water resources for the respective <br />towns, and <br />WHEREAS, the respective towns have jointly contributed funds <br />for water studies in the Coal Creek Basin area and in particular <br />for the location of a reservoir site that would be able to service <br />the four communities, and <br />WHEREAS, the respective communities have employed Ken Bruns and <br />Associates, Professional Civil Engineers, to conduct such studies, and <br />WHEREAS, said engineeY•s have now determined the approximate lo- <br />cation for a reservoir to be: constructed on Coal Creek Basin, and <br />WHEREAS, it is now necessary to protect these engineering stud- <br />ies by the filing of water Y-ights. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City of Louisville, that <br />the Mayor of the City of Louisville is hereby authorized to sign on <br />behalf of the City of LoLiisvil]_e, a claim for water rights and dam <br />site as presented by Ken Bruns and Associates for location in the <br />Coal Creek Basin, said cl.airns to be jointly signed by the other communi- <br />ties of Lafayette, Superior and Erie, each to share pro-rata in the <br />water rights according to present population. <br />Passed and Adopted unanimously by the City Council of Louisville, <br />Colorado, this day of April, 1971. <br />THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br />By <br />ATTEST: <br />r`j <br />~ ~~ <br />~~ G~Z~_ <br />its C rk <br />'d <br />.% <br />Mayor <br />
