<br /> <br />Horticulture & Forestry <br />Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />March 6, 2008 <br />Louisville Public Library <br />951 Spruce Street <br />1st Floor Meeting Room <br />6:30 PM <br /> <br />Call to Order - Chairperson Theresa Rounds called the meeting to order at 6:40 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />Roll Call The following members were present: <br /> <br />Board Members Present: Theresa Rounds, Ellen Toon, Jeff Hafner <br /> <br />Board Members Absent: Mike Frontzcak <br /> <br />Staff Members Present: Chris Lichty, Dave Clabots <br /> <br />Approval of Agenda - The Election of Officers agenda item was moved until at <br />least the April meeting. The agenda was approved by all members. <br /> <br />Approval of Meeting Minutes - The minutes from the Feb. 7 meeting were <br />approved as written. <br /> <br />Public Comments - Ellen said that a citizen had asked her about the comm. <br />Garden but before the meeting the city newsletter addressed the issue. <br /> <br />Review of City Council Study Session - Dave reported that because HFAB's <br />pesticide resolution was not an agenda item, the council could not adopt it. Chris <br />said the resolution is on the consent agenda for the meeting of March 18th where <br />it can then be adopted. Rob T. will be coming to our next meeting to speak and <br />to get our input on the pesticide free park in the City. Jeff raised a question <br />about the contract for CoCal going up 3 percent when the number of services <br />being requested went down. <br /> <br />Arbor Day Planning - The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 19th. Chris <br />would like to hold the event at the Arbo with a group tree planting.
