Horticulture & Forestry <br />Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Apri13, 2008 <br />Louisville Public Library <br />951 Spruce Street <br />1St Floor Meeting Room <br />6:30 PM <br />Call to Order -Chairperson Theresa Rounds called the meeting to order at 637. <br />Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: <br />Board Members Present: Theresa Rounds, Mike Frontzcak, Ellen Toon, <br />Jeff Hafner <br />Board Members Absent: <br />Staff Members Present: Chris Lichty -City Forester, Rob Teetzel -Parks <br />Superintendent <br />Approval of Agenda -The agenda was approved by all members. <br />Approval of Meeting Minutes -The minutes from the March 6, 2008 meeting <br />were approved as written. <br />Public Comments -None <br />Rob Teetzel, Parks Superintendent -The board reviewed changes to the 2007 <br />CoCal contract and the new changes for 2008. The city does the fertilization <br />twice a year (Spring and Fall). This year, Memory Square will be designated a <br />pesticide-free park. Tim Gilpin brought up the question about bio solids in place <br />of chemical fertilizers. Rob said that the odor might be a problem although the <br />city is looking into trying it in some of the unpopulated areas. <br />Election of Officers for 2008 -Mike Frontzcak will be the new chairperson.
