Horticultural & Forestry <br />Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Thursday, May 1, 2008 <br />Recreation/Senior Center <br />900 West Via Appia <br />6:30 PM <br />I. Chairperson Mike Frontzcak called the meeting to order <br />at 6:38 pm. <br />II. Roll call was taken and the following members were <br />present: <br />Mike Frontzcak, Theresa Rounds, Ellen Toon <br />Board member absent: Jeff Hafner <br />Staff members present: Chris Lichty, Kathy Martin <br />City council member absent: Dave Clabots <br />Members of the public present: Beverly (Frobi) Frobisher, Tim <br />and Amy Hancock, and Jim Ord <br />III. The agenda was approved by all members. <br />IV. The minutes from the April 3, 2008 meeting were <br />approved as written. <br />V. Public comments: Tim and Amy Hancock own a home in <br />the 1000 block of LaFarge which is currently occupied by their <br />tenant. They recounted their experience with a next door <br />neighbor who has started a major remodel of his property, and <br />in the process of digging a new foundation, has damaged the <br />roots of two ash trees on the Hancock's property. The <br />Hancocks have photographed the damage to the trees, and <br />have been advised to contact their insurance company in the <br />event that the trees die and/or fall down.
