RESOLUTION NO. 14 <br />SERIES 2019 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH <br />BOULDER COUNTY FOR HIGHWAY 42 MULTIMODAL INFRASTRUCTURE <br />IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Louisville has been working with Boulder County over the past <br />several years to plan and design multimodal, safety and operational improvements to the intersection <br />of Highway 42 and Short St. and <br />WHEREAS, City staff and County staff have negotiated that Intergovernmental Agreement <br />for Highway 42 Multimodal Infrastructure Ithproveniehts (the `IGA'), a copy of which IGA <br />accompanies this Resolution, which will provide reimbursement by Boulder County for fifty percent <br />(50%) of the cost of construction of Intersection Improvements and Underpass Improvements, <br />subject to the limitations set forth in the IGA, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council by this Resolution desires to approve the IGA. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />Section 1. That certain Intergovernmental Agreement for Highway 42 Multimodal <br />Infrastructure Improvements (the `IGA') between the City of Louisville and Boulder County a <br />copy of which IGA accompanies this Resolution, is hereby approved. <br />Section 2. The Mayor is authorized to execute the IGA, and the Mayor is hereby further <br />granted the authority to negotiate and approve such revisions to said IGA as he determines are <br />necessary or desirable for the protection of the City so long as the essential terms and conditions of <br />the IGA are not altered. <br />Section 3. The Mayor, City Manager, City Clerk and City staff are further authorized to <br />do all things necessary on behalf of the City to perform the obligations of the City under the IGA. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 76' day of May 201 <br />Robert P Muckle, Mayor <br />Resolution No.14 Series 2019 <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />
