iu City, <br />f <br />Om Louisville <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1882 <br />Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />August 16th, 2021 <br />Virtual Meeting <br />6:30 PM <br />Chair Haley called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. <br />Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: <br />Commission Members Present: <br />Chair Lynda Haley <br />Keith Keller <br />Christine Burg <br />Andrea Klemme <br />Commission Members Absent: Gary Dunlap <br />Staff Members Present: <br />Rob Zuccaro, Planning Director <br />Kim Bauer, Preservation Planner <br />Amelia Brackett Hogstad, Planning Clerk <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Klemme made a motion to approve the August 16, 2021 agenda. Seconded by Burg. The <br />agenda was approved unanimously by voice vote. <br />APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES <br />Burg made a motion to approve the July 26, 2021 minutes. Seconded by Klemme. The minutes <br />were approved unanimously as written by voice vote. <br />None. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON AGENDA <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />601 McKinley Avenue: A request to demolish the existing structure at 601 McKinley <br />Avenue. <br />Bauer presented the request and the review criteria. She stated that the structure was 74 years <br />old and was associated with Louisville's mid-century development and the Grunkeymeyer <br />family. It maintained five of the seven criteria regarding integrity and staff recommended placing <br />a 180-day stay on the request to give the applicant time to review alternatives to demolition. <br />Cody Thompson, 536 Main Street, stated that he appreciated preservation but shared that there <br />were no setbacks on the house and he would like to build a house with a porch and with street - <br />facing windows.
