RESOLUTION NO.8 <br />SERIES 2022 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO APPOINT ELECTION <br />JUDGES FOR THE SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON APRIL 19, 2022 AND <br />ESTABLISHING A RATE OF PAY <br />WHEREAS, the City of Louisville will conduct a special election on April 19, 2022; and <br />WHEREAS, C.R.S. § 31-10-401 provides that the governing body of a municipality may <br />by resolution delegate to the Clerk the authority and responsibility to appoint judges of election; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, C.R.S. § 31-10-408 provides that election judges will receive as <br />compensation for their services not less than five dollars and not more than the maximum amount <br />allowed by statute for payment to the judges of the general election of the state of Colorado, as <br />determined by the governing body of the municipality; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to authorize the City Clerk to appoint election judges <br />for the April 19, 2022 special election and wishes to establish the rate of pay for election judges. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br />Section 1. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to appoint election judges for the April 19, <br />2022 special election in accordance with the Colorado Revised Statutes. The appointed election <br />judges will receive $17.70/hour for their services. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15t' day of February, 2022. <br />r'd-ot, .
