<br />II' <br /> <br /> <br />~DI <br /> <br />Horticulture & Forestry <br />Advisory Board <br /> <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009 <br />Library Meeting Room <br />951 Spruce Street <br />7:00 PM <br /> <br />Call to Order - Chairperson Mike Frontczak called the meeting to order at 7:05 <br />pm. <br /> <br />Roll Call was taken and the following members were present: <br /> <br />Board Members Present: Mike Frontczak, Vickie Marra, Theresa Rounds, <br />Ellen Toon <br />Board Members Absent: Matt Tepe <br />Staff Members Present: Chris Lichty, Dean Johnson, Joe Stevens <br />City Council Member Present: Dave Clabots <br /> <br />Approval of Agenda - The agenda was approved by all members. <br /> <br />Approval of Meeting Minutes - The minutes from the Dec 4,2008 meeting <br />were approved as written. <br /> <br />Public Comments - Chris announced that Boulder County has purchased the <br />land owned by Cherry Creek Tree Farm on Hwy 287 at Isabel Road. The County <br />is offering the Farm's tree inventory free to local municipalities. Chris will visit the <br />site during the week of Feb 9 to determine tree species and sizes available. <br />Discussion of possible ways to distribute the acquired trees in Louisville: make <br />trees available via a voucher program to residents who don't have a front yard <br />tree; plant 10 - 15 trees at the Arboretum as part of this year's Arbor Day <br />observance; obtain a few trees to offer in an Arbor Day raffle, with proceeds <br />going to the Arboretum. <br /> <br />Approval of Designation of Places for Posting of Notice of Public Meetings- <br />Current posting sites (City Hall, Rec Center, Police Dept and Library) were <br />approved by all members. <br /> <br />City of Louisville <br />Parks & Recreation Department 749 Main Street Louisville CO 80027 <br />303.335.4735 (phone) 303.335.4738 (fax) www.ci./ouisville.co.us <br />
