<br />REGULAR l'fEETING <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />APRIL 20, 1982 <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Louisville met in regular session in the <br />Council Chambers, 749 Hain St., Louisville, Colorado. Nayor Meier called <br />the meeting to order at 7:30 P.11. M.S.T. Wurl, City Administrator <br />Curt Rautenstraus, City Attorney <br />William Hesson, City Treasurer <br />John Rupp, Director of Community Development <br />August Hioco, Director of Cornrnunity Services <br />David Blanchard, City Engineer <br />Rod Leesman, Director of Public Safety <br />Sharon Caranc1_, Chief Accountant <br />Cleo Mudrock, City Clerk <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF THE 11INUTES Councih1Oman Morris requested that an <br />CORRECTION - AMENDHENT amendment to the minutes of the regular <br />meeting of April 6, 1982 be made to in- <br />clude all the council comments regarding <br />the Neodata building. Lois DelPizzo, <br />who was in attendance representing the <br />Saturday Study Club, to step forward. <br />He read the proclamation in its entirety, <br />and presented it to Mrs. DelPizzo. <br /> <br />JAWS PROJECT <br />DR. JOHN MC CARTHY <br /> <br />Dr. John lie Carthy, a scientist of the <br />National Center for Atmospheric Research <br />introduced himself and presented council- <br />members a phamphlet of the proposed project, <br />which b.~gins May 15th and will last 3 months. <br />The project was to better understand micro- <br />burst "vind situations as pertains to aviation <br />safety, and fore'\varn citizens of potential <br />tornadoes. A slide presentation was made <br />depciting downdrafts of air relating to <br />typical surmner clouds in the area. Radar <br />will be located at Stapleton Airport <br />
