ESCHEDULED tffiETING LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL HARCH 5, 1981 l"layor Caranci called the meeting to order at '7: 30 P .N. with the following Council members present: Fauson, GWIlIllings, Carnival, and Domenico. Absent Councilmen DelPizzo and Meier. Also present 'Nere City Administrator Wurl, City Attorney Joss, City Treasurer Hesson, Director of Community Development Rupp, Police Chief Leesrnan, Director or Cownunity Services Hioco, City Engineer Blanchard, Chief Accountant Caranci, Planner Randall, and Actin6 City Clerk Hudrock. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES Mayor Caranci and Council approved the minutes of February 17, 1981 as pre- sented. ITEHS ENCLOSED Councilman Domenico moved that the items enclosed be accepted and brought up under the proper head of business. Seconded by Councilman Carnival. Question called for. All in favor. 110tion carried. COUNCIL ITEHS RICHARD ROSS - BLACK DIA}IDND LIQUOR LICENSE - PUBLIC HEARING Hayor Caranci opened the public hearing and asked Attorney Joss if everything was in order. Attorney Joss replied that it was and advised Council that this was a new liquor license application by Richard Ross to be located at 732 Hain St. Each member of council had a copy of the application, proposed design of the interior. Letters of reference had peen provided previously. Hayor Caranci called for persons sup- porting the application. RICHARD ROSS Hr. Ross spoke in support 0:[ the appli- cation. He stated that with the growth of the area - Centennial Valley Hall, Pow Wow and the revitalization of the downtown area there was a definite need for his type of establishment. He had 65 signatures on his petition to substantiate need. The interior of his establishment would be reminiscent of the old mining era, including cabanas. Nayor Caranci asked if there was anyone present opposed to the application. None.
