PROCLAMATION <br />WHEREAS, April 15, 1974 to April 20, 1974 has been designated by <br />the Optimist Club of Louisville -Lafayette as Optimist <br />Bike Safety Week in Louisville; and, <br />WHEREAS, this annual campaign is being sponsored by the Louis- <br />ville -Lafayette Optimist Club for the 1974 annual <br />year; and <br />WHEREAS, Bike Safety Week is designed to make Louisville a <br />safe city for cyclists by teaching our motorists and <br />bicyclists the basics of bicycle safety; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Optimists are drawing the attention of all motorists <br />to road and traffic hazards used jointly by cyclists; <br />now, <br />THEREFORE, I hereby problaim that April 15, 1974 to April 20, <br />1974 be known as the Louisville Optimist Bike Safety <br />Week under the authority given to me by the seal of <br />this City; and, <br />THEREFORE, as mayor, I urge all citizens of Louisville to co- <br />operate with the Optimists' effort to make Louisville <br />a safe city for cyclists. <br />YA <br />HNP.
