Per City Council Meeting Minutes this proclamation was read during the <br />August 6, 1991 Council Meeting. <br />"ITALIAN HERITAGE WEEK" <br />August 12 - 18, 1991 <br />WHEREAS, Citizens of Italian descent have richly contributed to the social fabric of the <br />City of Louisville since its inception, and <br />WHEREAS, the Society of Italian Americans is a vital part of the rich cultural heritage in <br />the City of Louisville, and <br />WHEREAS, the Society of Italian Americans has contributed to the betterment of this <br />community through its annual celebration of LaFesta di Louisville, and <br />WHEREAS, the Society of Italian Americans through the LaFesta di Louisville has <br />brought enjoyment and entertainment to not only Louisville residents but <br />residents throughout the metro area. <br />THEREFORE, I, HERMAN FAUSON, Mayor of the City of Louisville do hereby proclaim <br />the week of August 12-18, 1991, as "ITALIAN HERITAGE WEEK" and urge all citizens of <br />our community to help celebrate "Italian Heritage Week." <br />
