REGULAR MEETING LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL AUGUSTl, 1978 Mayor Waschak called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. with the follow- ing Council members present: DiCarlo, Meier, Caranci, Kilker and DelPizzo. Excused Absence: Councilman DiLorenzo. Others present: City Administrator Wurl, City Attorney Joss, City Treasurer Hesson, City Engineer Jicinsky, Community Development Direc. Drumm and City Clerk Stahl. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES Mayor Waschak and Council approved the minutes of the July 18, 1978, meeting as presented. ENCLOSURERS Councilman DiCarlo moved that enclosurers be accepted and brought up under the pro- per head of business. Seconded by Coun- cilman Caranci. Motion carried. COUNCIL ITEMS SOLAR HEATING SWIMMING POOL - AWARD BID Mr. Ron Slater, representing FEDCO. gave an explanation of how the set up works to collect solar energy and use it for heating. He stated that the plan would be guaranteed and would provide approximately 37% of the necessary heating. It was stated by the FEDCO Engineer that maintenance costs would be about $50.00 per year. After discussion, Councilman Caranci moved that the bid be awarded to FED CO in the amount of $17,000. Seconded by Council- man DiCarlo. Roll call. DelPizzo yes, Kilker yes, Caranci yes, Meier yes and DiCarlo yes. Motion carried. HOUSING AUTHORITY APPOINTMENT Mayor Waschak stated that the vacancy had been advertised and there was only one applicant, Mr. Bob Jones. Councilman DiCarlo moved that Mr. Bob Jones be appointed to fill the vacancy on the Housing Authority Board. Seconded by Councilman Meier. Motion carried. Attorney Joss stated that everything was in order and that the police report will be available by the public hearing. Councilman DiCarlo moved that a public hearing be set on the Kelly liquor li- cense application for September 5, 1978. Seconded by Councilman Meier. Motion carried.
