<br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />Louisville City Council <br /> <br />May 15, 1973 <br /> <br />__ceting was called to order by Mayor Lawrence Caranci at 7:30 p.m. MDST with <br />Counco1men King, Jensen, Donovan, Scholl, Domenico, City Administrator Wur1, <br />City Attorney Morris, City Clerk HcNulty present. Absent - Councilman Debor- <br />ski and City Treasurer Hesson absent. . . <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE <br /> <br />GOVERNMENT BY <br />YOUNG CITIZENS <br /> <br />CITIZENS ADVISORY <br />COMMITTEE <br /> <br />JUNCIL COMHENTS <br /> <br />POLICE C01~1ISSION: <br /> <br />REAL ESTATE TRANS- <br />FER TAX <br /> <br />Councilman King moved that minutes be accepted as pre- <br />sented. Seconded by Councilwoman Scholl. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman King moved that correspondence be accepted <br />and brought up under proper heading. Seconded by Council- <br />man Donovan. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor requested that the boys and girls present stand up <br />and be introduced. Appointed representatives - Mayor <br />Jim Berry, City Administrator Skip Van Meter, Police <br />Chief Kevin Mastriano, members of the City Council, <br />Treasurer Vince Fererra, City Clerk, etc. <br /> <br />Letter of application from Clifford Griswold presented <br />for membership to CAC. Councilman King moved that <br />Clifford Griswold be appointed to Citizens Advisory <br />Board. Seconded by Councilman Domenico. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Donovan stated the clean-up would resume <br />Saturday, M[ay 19th, 1973 and pick-up to be completed <br />on this date. <br /> <br />Councilman King suggested we should seriously consider <br />compulsory pick-up. Also stated he would like to ask <br />Council to have City Administrator Wur1 and Attorney <br />Morris to i.nvestigate possibility of compulsory pick-up <br />at least once month. If residents don't pay, it could <br />possibly bE~ put on taxes; \,-mu1d also like to have some <br />way of enforcing wasting of water when sprinkling. <br /> <br />Councilman Donovan suggested that an Ordinance be drafted <br />in regard to trash being thrown in irrigation ditches. <br />He also reported he had received a complaint in regard <br />to the local theater regarding the fire code and no <br />inspection had been made in some time. Mayor Caranci <br />reported that an inspection is usually made each year <br />and since Councilmen King and Deborski are on this <br />committee requested them to check it out. <br /> <br />Meeting to be held May 30th, 1973 at 7;00 P.M. <br />advised <br />Attorney Morris/he had the proposed Ordinance written <br />on the real estate transfer tax but didn't get it xeroxed <br />in time for the meeting. Will also have an ordinance <br />for Parks 1St Recreation to ear mark funds by next meeting. <br />
