Regular Meeting Louisville City Council May 15, 1973 __ceting was called to order by Mayor Lawrence Caranci at 7:30 p.m. MDST with Counco1men King, Jensen, Donovan, Scholl, Domenico, City Administrator Wur1, City Attorney Morris, City Clerk HcNulty present. Absent - Councilman Debor- ski and City Treasurer Hesson absent. . . ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES CORRESPONDENCE GOVERNMENT BY YOUNG CITIZENS CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE JUNCIL COMHENTS POLICE C01~1ISSION: REAL ESTATE TRANS- FER TAX Councilman King moved that minutes be accepted as pre- sented. Seconded by Councilwoman Scholl. All in favor. Motion carried. Councilman King moved that correspondence be accepted and brought up under proper heading. Seconded by Council- man Donovan. All in favor. Motion carried. Mayor requested that the boys and girls present stand up and be introduced. Appointed representatives - Mayor Jim Berry, City Administrator Skip Van Meter, Police Chief Kevin Mastriano, members of the City Council, Treasurer Vince Fererra, City Clerk, etc. Letter of application from Clifford Griswold presented for membership to CAC. Councilman King moved that Clifford Griswold be appointed to Citizens Advisory Board. Seconded by Councilman Domenico. All in favor. Motion carried. Councilman Donovan stated the clean-up would resume Saturday, M[ay 19th, 1973 and pick-up to be completed on this date. Councilman King suggested we should seriously consider compulsory pick-up. Also stated he would like to ask Council to have City Administrator Wur1 and Attorney Morris to i.nvestigate possibility of compulsory pick-up at least once month. If residents don't pay, it could possibly bE~ put on taxes; \,-mu1d also like to have some way of enforcing wasting of water when sprinkling. Councilman Donovan suggested that an Ordinance be drafted in regard to trash being thrown in irrigation ditches. He also reported he had received a complaint in regard to the local theater regarding the fire code and no inspection had been made in some time. Mayor Caranci reported that an inspection is usually made each year and since Councilmen King and Deborski are on this committee requested them to check it out. Meeting to be held May 30th, 1973 at 7;00 P.M. advised Attorney Morris/he had the proposed Ordinance written on the real estate transfer tax but didn't get it xeroxed in time for the meeting. Will also have an ordinance for Parks 1St Recreation to ear mark funds by next meeting.
