<br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />JULY 17, 1973 <br /> <br />Meeting postponed until Thursday, July 19, 1973 due to lack of quorum. <br /> <br />July 19, 1973 - Thursday <br />Meeting was called to order by :Mayor Caranci at 8:00 p.m. with Councilmen <br />King, Jensen, Donovan, and Councilwoman Scholl present. Also ~resent were <br />City Clerk McNulty and City Attorney Morris. <br /> <br />AGCEPTANCE OF MINUTES: Councilman King moved that the minutes be accepted <br />as amended. Seconded by Councilman Donovan. All <br />in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Amendments - Street Overlays - was passed as presented <br />with the addition of soil samples being taken from <br />streets. <br />Agreement with First Federal Savings <br />140 taps. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> <br />Councilman Donovan moved that correspondence be <br />accepted and be brought under the proper heading of <br />business. Seconded by Councilman Jensen. All in <br />favor. Notion carried. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ITEMS <br /> <br />A. HOUSING AUTHORITY ESTIMATE - After much discussion <br />both pro and con it was decided to discuss this <br />issue at a July 24th, 1973 meeting \..;i th LURA and <br />City Council. <br /> <br />B. PENNER CONSTRUCTION CHAi~GE ORDER NO.1, 2, & 3. <br />Councilman King moved to approve change orders <br />No.1" 2, and 3 for Penner Construction. Seconded <br />by Councilman Donovan. Roll call vote - King <br />yes, Jensen yes, Donovan yes, Scholl yes. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />C. EAST STREET - Councilman King moved that Ordinance <br />#422 be published. Seconded by Councilwoman Scholl. <br />Public Hearing to be held August 21, 1973. The <br />Ordinance would name that street South of Pine <br />Street which is currently called Courtesy Road, <br />East Street. All in favor. Notion carried. <br /> <br />D. FIRE HALL -Brought up by Mayor Caranci. <br />City Attorney Morris advised the Council that <br />monies cannot be spent unless budgeted for a <br />specific purpose. <br />Mr. Leggett advised that the City should then <br />look for adequate storage for the vehicles that <br />will no longer be able to be placed in the current <br />facility. <br />Councilman King moved that City Administrator <br />Wurl find possible methods of financing that would <br />enable the Fire Hall to be built this year. <br />
