<br />COUNctL MEETING <br /> <br />MAY 16, 1972 <br /> <br />Regualr meeting called to order by Mayor pro tem Charles King. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Present <br />Absent <br /> <br />Deborski, J~nsen, Maxwell, Donovan, Domenico <br />Mayor Lawrehce Cara nei <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE: None <br /> <br />i <br />ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES: Accepted ~s presented. <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br /> <br />PARKS & RECREATION: <br /> <br />Cemetery: Nb Meeting <br /> <br />Finance: Nlo Report <br /> <br />Water: Debqrski had checked with several cities in <br />regards to ~ater tap fees. Louisville tap fees are <br />to low and ~he sewer tap fee is to high. i.\.ange for <br />fees would tie from $800. to 900. This is to be dis- <br />cussed at a iwork session. <br /> <br />Keith Helart requested $865. for summer program and <br />have the City back up with $400. if necessary. <br />They have reduced teen program which will be self <br />supporting and raised price of camp fee from 1.00 <br />to 2.00. <br />Requested that Planning Commission to require con- <br />tractors to install sprinkling systems and seeding <br />of grass in the parks that are to be given to the <br />City. Deborski- Have valuation on how many parks <br />we can support. Possible to receive money in lieu <br />of ground;. Requested letter of for matching funds <br />would like to have an answer within one week so <br />they may go to H U D for funding of a swilmdng pool. <br />If H U D is unavailable would try Bureau of Outdoor <br />Recreation. Would go for grant in July and start <br />construction in August. Requested that minutes be <br />researched to find if 1% of gross recipts was set <br />up for Parks and Recreation. Parks and Recreation <br />would like for the City to accept lease for 3 years <br />on the pArk west of the school. At the end of 3 "Bars <br />school would probabley be able to turn property ofer <br />to city. Hilgers park 'iIM~ was pre~ented. Would like <br />to have this for future park ecquisiti.on. <br />Maxwell asked when portion of conprehensive plan would <br />be available? Keith stated it would ready by mid J~ne. <br />City will back their half of grant. <br />Maxwell at present no funds, why not approach J. C,I'S, <br />or Lions Club ct'Qr donations. Jensen waiti1ho analyze <br />funding. <br />
