Berry came in later. <br /> <br />ACCi;:PTANC-S OF ]V1DnJTES: Minutes 9lcc~.pted after corrections. <br /> <br />CORRTi;snONDSNCE: Notice of Long Range Planning Commission Meeting to be held <br />Jan. 22, 1971, Commissioners Hearing room. <br /> <br />Letter from Jaycees inviting Council to breakfapt Jan. 23, 1971 <br /> <br />POUCE CO;1J'1ISSION: Councill"an Mudrock reported that the Commission had met and <br />proposed a fifth man for Police due to others attending school. <br />Com~ission voted four to one in favor of a Sergeant. <br />Salary to be $6840. per year or $570.00 per month. <br />Motion by Dondelinger to accept Police Commission recommend- <br />ations for sergeant. Seconded by Perrella. <br />Remarks: Tomeo hire temporary man. Get Chief of Police out <br />on the street more and not in office so much. Koprowski <br />we could hire Civil Defense for $3240. per year which would <br />be $980. difference. <br />Perrella in accord with Dondelinger criteria should be basis <br />of all need. InTe need a stead~r man. Civil Defense would not <br />give the service of a regular man. <br />Roll call on the motion Perrella yes, .l.iondelinger yes, <br />Mudrock yes, Koprowski no, Tomeo No. Motion carried. <br />Dennis Patton one of the applicants a sked when the new man <br />would be hired. Planning Cornmission at <br />the next meeting and hired by Council Feb. 2, 1971 <br /> <br />Mayor C~ranci ~tated he could call a meeting at any time as <br />long as he gives 24 hO'Jr notices. <br />Mudrock stated you have to have a written complaint. <br />Mayor stated ~_t was not necess'ry for him to have a complaint <br />in order to call a meeting.
