<br />, <br /> <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br />FEB. 16, 1971 <br /> <br />Regular meeting called to order by Mayor Lawrence Caranci. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: <br /> <br />Following were present: Tomeo, King, Berry, Mudrock, <br />Perrella. Dondlinger came in later. <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES: Minutes approved as presented. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE: Letter read from ~ounty Commissioners informing <br />Council that prisoners daily charges will be <br />$6.00 per day instead of $4.00. <br /> <br />STREETS (Councilman Perrella) Chuck holes being filled as weather permits. <br />Street Committee to review yellow curg markings <br />and make recommendations. ' <br /> <br />POLICE COMMISSION: (Councilman Mudrock) Have received vergal O.K. for grant <br />to purchase new police car, check should arrive <br />in a feli days. <br /> <br />ITEMS NOT ON AGENDA: <br /> <br />Motion by ~u4rock seconded by Tomeo that Liquor <br />License for Eugene Vecchearilli and William <br />Vecchearilli Jr. for Whit Front Inn be approved <br />subject to satisfactory report on F.B.I. report. <br />Motion carried unanimously-: on roll call vote. <br /> <br />Joe Madonna gave report on Coal Creek project- <br />3/8 of $7,000. is the approximate amo,unt due <br />from Louis ville . <br />Attorney to approve contract submitted by State <br />to County and prepare any other necessary doc- <br />uments. Mayor to sign after approved by attorney. <br />Joe Colacci requested yellow paint indicating "No <br />Parking" area in front of Blue Parrot be reviewed. <br />Street Committee to review and make recommendations. <br />Dondlinger asked about oft street parking for Whittaker <br />apartments not installed. Also Perrella stated that <br />1ft water meter and yoke not paid for. Mr. Sanks to <br />check. <br />Mayor Caranci stated Council is invited to attend <br />dinner on Feb. 25, 1971 at Luigi's as gues~s of <br />Lafayette City Council by-virtue.of bet on Lafayette- <br />Louisville game. ' <br /> <br />Keith Bumstead appeard before Council. Attorney <br />Morris and Max ~an~s reported that Clyncke's Attorney, <br />George Pomainville, wants $1.00 per foot for right- <br />of-way as shown on Ken Bruns map. Showing 8" water <br />line for EPIC except where line runs.tn access road to <br />Clyndke. Total to coet to City and ~anitation District <br />would be $27,000. Clyncke also wanted right to make <br />seven taps to be paid for at the usual tap.fee and <br />plant investment fees and any other usual ~ity costs <br />at the time of installation. General discussion was <br />held resolving h01v to go forward and put in water line <br />and sewer lines to serve EPIC. Berry pointed out that <br />City was originally to pay oversizing of water line. <br />
