<br /> <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br /> <br />November 13, 2001 City Council Study Session <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Louisville met in a study session in the meeting room of the Louisville <br />Public Library, 950 Spruce Street, Louisville, Colorado. The following persons were present - <br /> <br />City Council: Mayor Tom Davidson, Mayor Pro-tem Chuck Sisk, <br />Tom Mayer, Arnold Levihn, and John Keany <br /> <br />Staff Present: Bill Simmons, City Manager <br /> Dianne Ray, Finance Director <br /> Tom Phare, Public Works Director <br /> Keith Williams, Interim Parks & Recreation Director <br />Belinda Goebel, Administrative Assistant <br /> <br /> <br />Dianne Ray presented an overview of the 2002 Budget. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The voters approved ‘2A’, which continues the 5.184 mill levy without any temporary <br />credits and generates an additional $230,118 in property tax revenue. <br /> <br /> <br />The City is working toward becoming self-collecting of its sales tax revenue by July 1, <br />2002. A Sales Tax Auditor position will be added, with the costs of the position to be <br />offset by the added revenue collections. There was some discussion regarding whether or <br />not the City should continue the 3 ½ percent sales tax rebate to businesses for completing <br />and submitting the required forms. <br /> <br /> <br />1 FTE will be added to IT services staff, to focus on desktop & Internet issues. <br /> <br /> <br />The City will switch from using Front Page software for the City’s website to Dream <br />Weaver. <br /> <br /> <br />The City received a check from the Baseball Stadium District, refunding sales tax <br />collected, in the amount of $104,539. <br /> <br /> <br />The Water Utility Fund expenditures increased by $66,613 <br /> <br /> <br />The City’s wellness program needs reevaluation. <br /> <br /> <br />Capital Improvement items were discussed. <br /> <br />The Mayor requested the name and telephone number of the president of the Louisville Fire <br />Protection District Board so that he could call and invite the Board to meet with City Council <br /> <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> <br />
