ORDINANCE NO. 1628 <br /> SERIES 2013 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1332 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL <br /> CODE REGARDING SEWER USE REGULATIONS <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend Chapter 13.32 of the Louisville Municipal <br /> Code to reflect changes in federal regulations; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council further desires to amend Chapter 13.32 of the Louisville <br /> Municipal Code to update local limits for permitted industrial and non-industrial users and non- <br /> permitted users; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF LOUISVILLE,COLORADO: <br /> Section 1. The following definitions in Section 13.32.020 of the Louisville Municipal <br /> Code are hereby amended to read as follows (words to be deleted are stricken-through; words to be <br /> added are underlined)with the remainder of the defined terms in said section to remain the same: <br /> Sec. 13.32.020. Definitions. <br /> Best management practice (BMP) means schedules of activities, <br /> prohibitions of practices, maintenance procedures, and other management <br /> practices to implement the prohibitions listed in section 13.32.040 and 40 CFR <br /> 403.5(a)(1) and (b). BMP also includes treatment requirements, operating <br /> procedures and practices to control plan site runoff, spillage or leaks, sludge or <br /> waste disposal, or drainage from raw material storage. BMPs can also include <br /> alternative means (management plans, etc.) for compliance with, or in place of, <br /> certain established effluent limits. <br /> Categorical pretreatment standard means any regulation containing <br /> pollutant discharge limits promulgated by EPA in accordance with sections <br /> 307(b) and (c) of the Act (33 U.S.C. section 1317) that apply to a specific <br /> category of users and that appear in 40 CFR Chapter I, Subchapter N, Parts 405- <br /> 471. <br /> users in specific industrial subcategories will bo established as separate <br /> Parts 405 171. <br /> Medical waste includes, but is not limited to, isolation wastes, infectious <br /> agents, human blood and blood products, sharps, body parts, contaminated <br /> bedding, surgical wastes, potentially contaminated laboratory wastes, and dialysis <br /> wastes. <br /> National prohibitive discharge standard or prohibitive prohibitive <br /> Ordinance No.1628,Series 2013 <br /> Page 1 of 9 <br />
