ORDINANCE NO. 1866 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 2023 NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODE WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted from time to time certain building and construction standards including editions of the National Electric Code; and WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the interest of the public health, safety and general welfare to adopt by reference thereto the updated edition of the National Electric Code; and WHEREAS, the City Council, after proper notice as required by law, has held a public hearing on this ordinance providing for the adoption of said code; and WHEREAS, the 2023 National Electric Code has been submitted to the City Council in writing and the City Council has determined that such code should be adopted as herein set forth. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: Section 1. Chapte Section 15.48.010 of the Louisville Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows (words added are underlined; words deleted are striGken thFeugl4): Sec. 15.48.010.- Adoption. Pursuant to C.R.S. Title 31, Article 16, as amended: The National Fire Protection Association standard number 70, hereafter known as the National Electrical Code, 2023 2428 Edition, published by the National Fire Protection Association, 1 Batterymarch Park, Quincy, Massachusetts, 02169-7471, is hereby adopted by reference as the Louisville Electrical Code as if fully set out in this ordinance codified herein with the additions, deletions, insertions and changes, if any, set forth herein, and such adoption is to have the same Ordinance No. 1866, Series 2023 Page 1 of 4
