<br /> <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br /> <br />April 22, 2002 <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Louisville met in a study session at 6:00 p.m. in Louisville City Hall <br />Council Chambers, 749 Main Street, Louisville, Colorado. The following persons were present - <br /> <br />City Council: Mayor Tom Davidson, Mayor Pro-tem Chuck Sisk, <br />Tom Mayer, John Keany, Michele Van Pelt, Arnold <br />Levihn, and Don Brown (arrived at 7:45 p.m.) <br /> <br />Staff Present: Bill Simmons, City Manager <br />Heather Balser, Assistant to the City Manager <br />Keith Williams, Interim Parks & Recreation Director <br />Anne Mojo, Library Director <br />Bruce Goodman, Chief of Police <br />Kathy Martin, Acting Recreation Superintendent <br />Ture Nycum, Recreation Supervisor <br />Mike Jones, Chief Building Inspector <br />Belinda Goebel, Administrative Assistant <br /> <br /> <br />Presentation – Louisville Library Needs Assessment Update <br />The Library Needs Assessment Team explained that they have reviewed a number of potential <br />building sites as well as considered the necessity of a one-story versus a two-story building. It is the <br />consensus of the Team that the building should remain in the downtown area and a new two-story <br />building should be constructed. Humphries Poli Architects presented an overview of site alternatives <br />with the following summary of probable costs: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />A new one-story building of 27,626 gsf including site development - $6,275,262 ($227.15/sf) <br /> <br /> <br />A new two-story building of 31,320 gsf including site development - $7,019,136 ($224.11/sf) <br /> <br />Presentation – Louisville Recreation/Senior Center Needs <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned at 9:45 p.m. <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> <br />
