Chief Goodman explained hybrid energy-efficient <br /> vehicles do not meet the criteria or specification for a police vehicle. He stated <br /> the City has a policy for police vehicle replacement, which provides for the <br /> replacement of vehicles every three years or 80,000 miles. He explained the <br /> police department would look at energy-efficient vehicles when technology meets <br /> the specification for police vehicles. <br /> MOTION: Council member Muckle moved the City Council award bid to <br /> Lakewood Fordland for Replacement of Police Vehicles, and award bid to AI <br /> Serra Chevrolet Hummer for purchase of unmarked police vehicles, seconded by <br /> Council member Sackett. All in favor. <br /> PROCLAMATION - ARBOR DAY <br /> Mayor Sisk read the proclamation, which proclaimed April 29, 2006 as Arbor Day <br /> in the City of Louisville. He requested a Staff presentation. <br /> Land Management Director Robson explained one of the obligations of being a <br /> Tree City USA is to formally celebrate Arbor Day every year. This year the City of <br /> Louisville will be celebrating Arbor Day on April 29th. Land Management's <br /> Forestry Division, in conjunction with the City of Louisville Horticulture and <br /> Forestry Advisory Board has developed a program of events to promote the <br /> health and welfare of the City's Urban Forest. <br /> ORDINANCE No. 1489, SERIES 2006 - AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING <br /> CITY OF LOUISVILLE CABLE TELEVISION CUSTOMER SERVICE <br /> STANDARDS - 2nd reading - public hearing (advertised Daily Camera <br /> 3/11/06) <br /> Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction. <br /> City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1989, Series 2006. <br /> Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br /> Assistant City Manager for Governmental Relations Balser explained the Council <br /> passed a franchise agreement for a cable television provider. In order to ensure <br /> the provision of quality customer service under the agreement, the City will adopt <br /> cable television customer service standards. Ordinance No. 1489, Series 2006 <br /> encompasses the Customer Service Standards prepared by the Greater Metro <br /> Telecommunications Consortium (GMTC), of which Louisville is a member. <br />
