City Council Meeting Minutes October 17, 2006 Page 11 of 12 EXECUTIVE SESSION REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS SUSPENDED MAYOR REQUESTED THE CITY COUNCIL CONVENE AN EXECUTIVE SESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF ANNUAL PERFORMANCE REVIEW OF THE CITY MANAGER Mayor Sisk requested the Council convene an executive session to discuss the annual performance review of the City Manager. Deputy City Clerk Hanson read Section 2.90.050 of the Louisville Municipal Code, which describes the topics that may be discussed in an executive session. City Attorney Light reviewed a statement of authority for convening an executive session according to the Louisville Home Rule Charter and Colorado Revised Statutes. MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved CounGiI convene an executive session to discuss the annual performance review of the City Manager as authorized by the Charter provision and statute as noted by the City Attorney, seconded by Council member Sackett. All in favor. Mayor Sisk asked City Attorney Sam Light to join Council in the executive session. City Council went into executive session at 9:04 p.m. REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS CONTINUTED Mayor Sisk called the regular business meeting back to order at 10:55 p.m. Mayor Sisk reported the executive session attended by Council members and Attorney Light pertained to the performance evaluation of the City Manager. Attorney Light confirmed the executlive session related to a matter authorized by City Charter and a written report of the performance review would be prepared according to the Charter requirement. City Manager Simmons mentioned if the Council wished, he would welcome an opportunity to discuss the evaluation after reading the written report.
