APPOINTMENTS TO CITY OF LOUISVILLE BOARD AND COMMISSION <br /> VACANCIES <br /> <br />Davidson made the following appointments: <br /> <br />Patricia Thompson to the Planning Commission for a five-year term ending January 2004 <br /> <br />Deb Gardener, Angela Donato, Jeanie Balch, and Dave Lehn to the Arts & Humanities <br />Council for three-year terms ending January 2002 <br /> <br />Susan Spalding to the Tree Board for a two-year term ending January 2001 <br /> <br />Davidson nominated Sam Lansing to the Board of Adjustment for a three-year term <br />ending January 2002, and Tom McAvinew to the Board of Adjustment to complete the <br />two years remaining on a term ending January 2001, seconded by Mayer. All in favor: <br /> <br />Davidson called for Council consent to appoint Mary Seifert to the Library Board of <br />Trustees for a five-year term ending January 2004. All in favor. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 18, SERIES 1999 - A RESOLUTION APPROVING A <br />PURCHASE CONTRACT TO BUY AND SELL VACANT REAL ESTATE, <br />WATER RIGHTS AND CONSERVATION EASEMENT <br /> <br />Davidson called for City Attorney presentation. <br /> <br />Sam Light, City Attorney, explained that by Resolution No. 39, Series 1998, the Council <br />approved a form contract for the purchase by the City and Boulder County of property, <br />water rights, and a conservation easement from Klubert and Helen Rose Warembourg. <br />The final contract was approved last summer. Since that time, negotiations have <br />continued regarding the final form of the contract and conservation easement. Those two <br />documents are before Council tonight for their final approval. The purchase price and the <br />types and amounts of property being purchased have remained the same. The primary <br />changes to the purchase contract are: <br /> <br />Mr. & Mrs. Warembourg will not be among the sellers; the property is <br />being transferred to and sold through their limited liability company. <br /> <br />For ten years after closing, the Seller will be entitled to any royalties <br />generated by existing oil and gas wells on the 220-acre City/County <br />parcel. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Seller will utilize irrigation facilities on the City/County parcel only as <br />necessary to store and convey one share of Marshall Lake water to the 72- <br />acre conservation easement parcel. <br /> <br /> <br />
