A MESSAGE FROM MAYOR STOLZMANN
Reducing Our
Environmental Impact
Firstly, I want to thank Louisville
residents for continuing to work
together to find ways for the City to
reduce our community's impact on
the environment.
The City Council has heard these
calls to action, and we will be
discussing the potential building code changes that
many residents have brought to our attention. Our
upcoming work includes consideration of dark sky
lighting standards, additional efficiency
requirements for our building codes and potentially
other new building code requirements to reduce
building emissions, improvements to our local
transportation system to encourage more biking and
walking, and, as you will read more about in this issue
of the Community Update, implementation of the
community -approved $0.25 disposable bag tax.
We would love to hear from you on these topics and
any other ideas about keeping Louisville a great place
to live, visit and work. All members of City Council,
including myself, do better when we collaborate and
can include your feedback. You can find our contact
details on page 11 of the Community Update or by
visiting LouisvilleCO.gov/CityCouncil. We look forward
to hearing from you.
All the best,
Mayor Stolzmann
Mayor Stolzmann's next Mayor's Town Hall is
scheduled for Wednesday, September 29 at 6 PM. In Colorado, the vaccine is always free
and everyone age 12 and older is eligible to receive it.
Vaccines must be proven to be safe and effective be-
fore they are given to people. The COVID-19 vaccines
are no different. These vaccines are being proven safe
every day, as hundreds of thousands of Coloradans
- doctors, nurses, seniors, and others - have already
received them. Nationally, many millions of people
have also safely received the vaccine.
Visit covid19.colorado.gov/vaccine or call
1-877-CO VAX CO (1-877-268-2926) to find out
where to receive your free vaccine.
COVID-19 UPDATE & INDOOR MASKS
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
recommend masks indoors for people age 2 and older,
regardless of vaccination status, in areas of substantial
or high transmission, which includes Boulder County
and neighboring counties.
Masks are required in all City of Louisville buildings
(including City Hall, the Recreation & Senior Center,
and the Library) for people age 2 and older, regardless
of vaccination status.
In accordance with Boulder County Public Health's
Public Health Order, masks are required indoors for
everyone age 2 and older in schools, youth camps,
childcare and youth programming/sports, regardless
of vaccination status. This includes participants,
program staff, volunteers and spectators.'Youth
programs' are defined as programs intended for
individuals under age 19.
This reflects the most up to date information at the
time of printing, but please always check the City's
website for the most recent public
health guidance and information
about City Facilities.
Visit LouisvilleCO.gov/COVID19
or scan the QR Code for more
information and to sign up for
regular public health updates
from the City.
IN -PERSON EVENTS
City events listed as in -person events may be held as
virtual events or cancelled due to the changing nature
of public health guidance.
