NEWS FROM CITY HALL
U
Ward 1
Ward 2
Ward 3
A MESSAGE FROM MAYOR CHRIS LEH
Summer may be drawing to a
close, but the schedule of great
Louisville events is not! Although
we have said goodbye for now
to Street Faire, Concerts in the
Park, and other summer traditions,
we're looking forward to our
annual Labor Day Parade and Fall
Festival, as well as newer fall traditions like Ecotoberfest,
our Vintage Baseball Game, and more.
This fall will also present Louisville residents with great
opportunities to participate in our local government and
help shape our community's present and future.
In October, the City will begin accepting applications
for vacancies on our various boards and commissions.
Serving on a board or commission is a great way to get
involved in the community, understand better how City
government works, and have an even more tangible
impact in our City.
The process of updating Louisville's Comprehensive
Plan will also continue this fall with additional community
engagement opportunities. Creation of this once -in -a -
decade overarching policy document for the future —
MAYOR & CITY COUNCIL
Mayor Chris Leh
Caleb Dickinson (Mayor Pro Tern)
Tim Bierman
Deborah Fahey
Judi Kern
covering community services, infrastructure, economic
development, housing, transportation, parks, open
space, trails, historical and cultural resources, and
more — needs your input to make sure it reflects our
community's vision. Stay connected with the latest
updates at EngageLouisvilleCO.gov/Comp-Plan.
I know that the past few months, and indeed the past
few years, have been challenging for our community.
We've faced the most devastating natural disaster in
our history, the ongoing recovery from it, spirited public
debates about everything from future development to
traffic safety, and the departure of a city manager.
This summer, I was honored to help unveil the
Community Resilience sculpture in front of City Hall.
This beautiful piece of public art perfectly distills the
sense of resilience that in many ways defines Louisville
and its people throughout our history, from labor strife
in the mining days through to the Marshall Fire and
the present day. Louisville is resilient, we are kind, and
despite our disagreements, we will continue to come
together as one community.
So, I'm prouder than ever of my community, and I
couldn't be more excited about Louisville's future!
Leh@LouisvilleCO.gov
CDickinson@LouisvilleCO.gov
TBierman@LouisvilleCO.gov
DFahey@LouisvilleCO.gov
JKern@LouisvilleCO.gov
Dietrich Hoefner DHoefner@LouisvilleCO.gov
Barbara Hamlington BHamlington@LouisvilleCO.gov
303.668.3916
303.495.8219
720.391.5861
720.320.5539
720.724.5684
720.419.5030
269.277.7673
The City Council generally holds regular meetings the first and third Tuesdays of each month at City Hall, 749 Main
Street, at 6 p.m. Visit LouisvilleCO.gov/Calendar for details.
