Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
As we move into the holiday season, we'd like to
acknowledge the multitude of different cultural
traditions and observances that occur in these coming
months. Whether you celebrate Yule, Winter Solstice,
Christmas, Diwali, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Bodhi Day,
Lunar New Year, or perhaps none of these, the City of
Louisville wishes you a happy holiday.
In January, we'll celebrate our Louisville Police
Department on Jan. 9 for National Law Enforcement
Appreciation Day. On Jan. 20, we'll celebrate Martin
Luther King Jr. Day and honor his life, legacy, and
commitment to service. February, of course, marks
Black History Month, a time to celebrate and highlight
the achievements of the Black community throughout
our nation's history. Visit LouisvilleCO.gov throughout
the year for Museum features about Louisville's diverse
history, special reading lists from the Library, and much
more.
