Contractors, Inc. for 2007 Traffic Signal <br /> Maintenance <br /> PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> Anthony Webb, 982 Walnut Court, Louisville, CO and Alex Edge, 526 Ford Court, <br /> Louisville, CO are Monarch High School Ninth Grade students, who prepared <br /> and presented a proposal for City Council, as part of a school project. Webb <br /> requested the City consider a traffic signal light at the intersection of Pine and <br /> Main Streets. Edge estimated the cost for a traffic light to be approximately <br /> $185,000. Webb noted FasTracks will increase traffic and suggested some <br /> device be considered to alleviate congestion at the intersection. Edge suggested <br /> a traffic circle might be a consideration. <br /> COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br /> THE AGENDA <br /> Council member Marsella introduced Olga Shershneva, who is the Chairperson <br /> of the Youth Advisory Board. Youth Advisory Board members will be attending <br /> Council meetings and other City board and commission meetings to become <br /> more familiar with City government. <br /> Mayor Sisk wished everyone a very Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah and a <br /> Happy New Year. He also extended his best wishes to the American service <br /> men and women serving around the world. <br /> Mayor Sisk reported on a seminar he attended last week at the National <br /> Educational Training Association (NETA). He explained the next presentation <br /> will be a weeklong seminar and the subject will be on Louisville. <br /> Council member Brown reported DRCOG recently approved a partnership with <br /> Regis University, where all staff members of the DRCOG membership <br /> organizations will receive 10% off educational programs at Regis University. <br /> Mayor Sisk reported on a letter received from Superior Mayor Muckle on library <br /> services. He stated the City Staff would meet with Superior Town Staff. Mayor <br /> Muckle requested an extension of the January deadline. <br /> REGULAR BUSINESS <br />
